How credits work
Credits are your account balance for using GhostWriter. They work across all your books and never expire.

Getting started
Every new account comes with 3 free credits — enough to draft a few chapters and see how GhostWriter fits your workflow.
Buying more credits
When you need more, visit the Buy Credits page from the header or your Account page. Credits are available in four packs:

Where to check your balance
- Header badge — Your credit count is always visible in the top navigation bar.
- Account page — See credits purchased, credits used, and current balance.
- Chapters page — Your balance appears next to the chapter title.
Failed drafts
If a GhostWriter job fails, your credit is automatically refunded. You only pay for drafts that complete successfully.
Tips
- Use the Chapter 1 draft to lock voice and tone before running more chapters.
- Regenerate from your edited text to polish efficiently — each regeneration costs 1 credit.
- Whole-book runs cost 1 credit per chapter — check your balance before starting.
